ABOUT VALOR
Valor’s charter has been approved by Grace Schools Charter Authority, LLC. Valor’s founders received support and training through Hillsdale College’s Barney Charter School Initiative. As a Hillsdale College Curriculum School, Valor will welcome K-6 grade students for the first day of school and will add a grade each year until the school reaches K-12.
The Hillsdale College network of schools is made up of Member Schools in the Barney Charter School Initiative and Curriculum Schools. Valor Classical Academy will continue receiving support from Hillsdale College as a Curriculum School.
Hillsdale College began their classical charter school initiative in 2010 with their first schools opening in 2012. The Barney Charter School Initiative has shown undeniable success throughout the nation with steady growth at each school, many having waitlists.
Hillsdale College does not own or govern its affiliated schools. Through the BCSI outreach, the College offers free training and support throughout the founding process and beyond in exchange for the charter school’s agreement to follow the BCSI framework and curriculum.
